About Enterprise Infrastructure

Infrastructure5

Enterprise Infrastructure is a newly formed group within Rutgers University Office of Information Technology (OIT) created to integrate technology staff from both Rutgers and UMDNJ. Its purpose is to build upon the centralized service offerings brought forth from UMDNJ and to expand the service offerings provided centrally under the previous Enterprise Systems and Services, Central Systems and Services and Telecommunication divisions within OIT. EI is comprised of highly skilled information technology specialists with various levels and types of knowledge and experience. EI staff, located in Newark and Piscataway, provide services to the University’s Academic, Research, Clinical, and Administrative entities.

EI offers a wide range of IT expertise from maintaining network and compute infrastructure for organizations within OIT and administrative systems that support business departments and deliver student services across all Rutgers University campuses to providing Enterprise Active Directory and other centralized services for all RBHS entities. EI also provides centrally managed data center hosting services for a variety of central and departmental units within Rutgers University. EI’s telecommunication unit provides the central voice, television, wireless, and data networks which are critical utilities at the university and are fundamental to the success of research, teaching, and learning.
